A beacon of positivity carrying a storm god within
Born ordinary. Carrying something divine. He made a vow before he was old enough to understand it — and his soul has kept it ever since.
Theodore Thunderson was the only child of Beckham and Whinny Thunderson — an entirely ordinary couple born into the mundane world with no magic between them. What they welcomed into the world was anything but ordinary. Before Theodore was old enough to remember, his power was already immense. Crying would cause lightning to crackle around his crib and through his bedroom walls. That is how the nickname Thundie was born.
Beckham and Whinny had no framework for what their son was. Shocked, frightened, and deeply protective, they made a vow to keep him isolated from the world for everyone's safety. It was the only thing they knew to do. It was not enough to prepare them for what came next.
Thundie's parents quickly came running to the rescue — but it was already too late. The seemingly endless crying fell into a demonic silence. And the barking that had once plagued the air ceased.
On a faithful day in the open plains, a coyote appeared seemingly out of nowhere. Thundie, at first enthralled, quickly became afraid. He screamed for his parents. They came running. What waited for them was not their son as they knew him.
The coyote lay sizzled on the ground, burnt to a crisp by electricity. And from the lips of their small child came a voice — deep, thunderous, carrying tremors that could be felt for miles. A being identifying itself as Susanoo, the God of Storm, announced that he had been trapped within Thundie's body since birth after losing a challenge to his sister Amaterasu, and had remained dormant within the child until this moment.
Susanoo was not gentle. He froze Beckham's jaw when he tried to speak. He claimed dominion over the moment and over the child. When Whinny reached out to touch Thundie's ear, a shattering crimson bolt struck. She was gone. Beckham fell to the ground beside what remained of his wife — and the god declared him no more than the dirt in which she lay.
Susanoo remarked that Thundie possessed a positivity and unbreakable will that could almost be confused for Divinity. That is why he was trapped within him. When that spirit disappears — he is finally free to leave.
As Susanoo moved to drown Beckham in an orb of water, a rift tore open behind him. Before a thought could be had, chimes of incantation filled the air. A hand covered the god's face. And with the final words — "Divine Seal Kashimo" — the body of Thundie went limp and fell.
The two who stepped through the rift were Jenna and Malik Frostborne — Thundie's aunt and uncle, skilled ice sorcerers who had been searching for a way to contain what lived inside their nephew. The seal worked. Susanoo was pushed back into dormancy. Thundie awoke days later, too young to fully understand what had happened but conscious enough during the event to know what had been done.
Sitting alone in that empty room, still so young, he made a vow — that what happened to his parents would not happen to anyone else. That he would remain a beacon of positivity regardless of what lived inside him. His soul kept that vow. His brain, over the years, forgot almost everything else — including his real parents. By the time he was old enough to carry memories clearly, he believed Jenna and Malik were his parents and that he had always lived in Ontario.
His soul remembered the vow. His brain forgot the loss. And somewhere in the space between the two, Thundie grew.
As Thundie grew, so did his magic — but not his control. Bursts of power so strong they changed the weather of the town he lived in became routine. Jenna and Malik, both skilled ice sorcerers, could not contain what lived in him. They searched far and wide for help and began to lose hope.
Then a woman adorned entirely in black appeared at their door. Before Jenna and Malik could react, she blew powder into their faces and they dropped to the ground. Thundie ran and hid. The footsteps found him anyway. The closet door opened. The powder hit his face. He managed to fire a jet of water at the woman before losing consciousness — she was completely unfazed.
While Thundie was unconscious, the woman removed an orb from her veil and merged it into the core of his being. She left a note by his side. The note said: when he turned 10, he was to travel to the realm of Wysteria and seek the Storybook Academy. He would learn to control his powers there. He naturally excelled in elemental magic — mainly water and lightning. The Academy was where he belonged.
Jenna and Malik, apprehensive at first, eventually accepted the path laid out for him. When he was of age, Thundie went to Wysteria. And it was there, eventually, that he found his way into the Emberlin family — adopted by Blanc, becoming one more piece of a house built on the belief that family is found, not just born.
He arrived at Wysteria not knowing his real name carried a god. He arrived knowing only that he had a vow to keep — and a will that something divine had already confirmed was almost unbreakable.
Theodore Thunderson is 20 years old and carries the lineage of a storm sorcerer with dragon blood running through his veins. He is fully affiliated with House Emberlin and has grown significantly since his arrival at Wysteria — though his journey is far from over.
In a defining choice, Thundie bound away his abilities to control water and ice entirely, channeling everything into his connection to electricity. The trade was deliberate — focus over breadth. His lightning is now his domain, and his imagination is where his only true limit lies.
As a sorcerer, his inherent magic is bounded only by what he can conceive. His vast imagination fuels both his ambition and his day to day — it is simultaneously his greatest gift and the thing that occasionally gets him into trouble.
Full Control of Lightning — Thundie bound away water and ice to strengthen his connection to electricity. His imagination and emotions are where his limits lie. He still has room to grow but has come a long way.
Ace Negotiator — capable of talking most people down and finding common ground. One of his most underestimated strengths.
Vast Imagination — as a sorcerer, his inherent magic has no ceiling beyond what he can conceive. His imagination also fuels his ambition and shapes how he moves through the world.
Empath Tendencies — his magic shifts with his emotional state. Positive emotions make his abilities more precise but weaker. Negative emotions make them more potent but unpredictable. His feelings are directly wired to his power.
Susanoo — the storm deity sealed within him since birth. While Thundie is in despair, isolation, or peril, Susanoo can take control — and when he does, havoc follows.
Highly Ambitious — Thundie reaches for the stars and meets people along the way. His drive is genuine and hard to contain.
Highly Oblivious — sometimes to a concerning degree. His trust and openness can make him vulnerable to a well-placed trap or deception.
Great Combat IQ — what he lacks in experience he compensates for in tactical thinking. He is a planner in a fight even when everything around him is chaos.
Thundie's imagination and emotions are where his limits lie. His story is still being written.
A shift has happened within Theodore Thunderson. Those who investigate enough may peer past the veil. Something has changed — and whether it is permanent, temporary, or something far more complicated is not yet clear.
"As soon as it comes will be as soon as it ends."

The Collapse
While walking outside during Minerva's birth, Theodore Thunderson collapsed under magical pressure and lost his memory. He vanished from Wysteria entirely following the events of Minerva's baby shower. In his place, Timmy emerged — a version of him that believed himself to be a human living in Canada, completely unaware of magic or the realm he had left behind.
The Entity
Chris, V, Josiah, Minerva, Spooky, Summer, and Sebastian managed to find him and tamper with his mind after removing the magical protection that had sealed him away from himself. In doing so, something emerged from within — the entity within Thundie, cuffed at both hands and feet, made itself known. Its first act was to place every one of them on a list. To be dealt with first.
The realm was not prepared. It may still not be.
Thundie Returns — And What Comes Next
Thundie has returned. But how long he holds — and what lies beneath the surface of that return — remains the question the realm is quietly asking. The darkness within the light is not gone. It is patient.
He will soon take on the role of mentor to Emryss, the child of Minerva and Chris. Whether the weight of that responsibility steadies him or cracks something open — no one knows yet. But there is something worth considering: even the young Emryss may have things to teach him in return. And a great teacher, after all, is always still learning.
